EAT YOUR WAY TO HEALTHY HAIR

by Charl Pearce

Amino Acids are complex chemicals that are the building blocks of protein, which are required for the creation of new tissue, and the repair of existing cells.

Fibre is a key ingredient for healthy hair growth, as you need to consume fibre with each and every meal to ensure you can benefit from a range of different vitamins and minerals. Far too few people have enough fibre in their diet, but such a mistake can cause more than just a bad case of constipation. A continued lack of fibre can lead to a variety of different health conditions whilst also increasing your risk of serious hair thinning and even total hair loss. Low fibre levels can cause bad skin and dandruff, leading to blocked pores and an uncomfortable scalp to say the least, so it’s vital that you can consume fibre if you want to eat your way to healthy hair. Thankfully it couldn’t be easier to source a range of delicious fibre rich food sources that your hair will love you for, and you don’t have to sit around eating steamed broccoli to get your fix. Make sure you eat a portion of natural fibre with each meal, and you’ll no doubt reap the benefits.

Food for thought: raspberries, lentils, pearl barley, Growli oats, black beans.

Vitamins to take: any organic fibre powder.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the ins and out of food science, as there are so many important things to remember to achieve the ‘perfect’ diet. Fortunately you can give up now, as the perfect diet doesn’t exist and would never be a sustainable plan to follow. As long as you make your own effort to add some of the above-mentioned foods to your daily meals then your hair will have a far greater chance of thriving, and the rest of your body will thank you, too!
