Last year Freeport Talke welcomed a treasure trove of makeup from Beauty Outlet under their discount store roof. The Beauty Outlet opened armed with a list of top high street and designer makeup brands including L’Oreal, Revlon, Rimmel, Max Factor and Stila stocking everything from face wipes and brushes right through to every single colour of nail polish you could possibly imagine. Beauty Outlet is every beauty fans heaven and it’s hard not to fill one of their baskets with one, two, three, nine, eleven items to benefit from their discounted prices. Think of yourself as Ariel from the Little Mermaid and Beauty Outlet as her cave full of her neat complete collection of gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, except your thingamabobs are lipsticks and liners and you’re close to how impressive it is. Even the likes of Real Techniques brushes are stocked at a fraction of their recommended retail price. As well as well known beauty brands the Beauty Outlet also stock a number of cheaper brands like W7 who are pros at duplicating some of the latest beauty releases for pennies – well, not quite pennies but you get the drift.
The W7 Beauty Bus is a bright pink beacon of glam, reminiscent of the Spice Bus (but very pink) stocked to the headlights with all of W7’s best loved products and a glam squad of make up artists on hand to give visitors to the bus a drive by makeover/tips and tricks to target any beauty cries for help. Can’t shape your eyebrows to save your life? Contouring driving you crazy? Winged liner leaving you in tears? The angels on the bus (go round and round) have got your back and your brows. Better yet, the products they use are of course all W7.
The Beauty Bus pulled over outside Freeport Talke on the 16th August and invited members of the general public to hop on board up until 6pm (there’s even a pink carpet!). Aside from makeovers and beauty chat, because it’s surprising how much girls can wax lyrical about their favourite products and how they use them, the W7 girls were handing out goodie bags and 20% off vouchers to pick up a few choice products from the Beauty Outlet…
….& obviously it was an offer I couldn’t refuse. Of course, I didn’t really NEED anymore makeup items, in fact I could do with a) putting away all the beauty items which seem to be floating around my house and b) giving away the backlog that I never seem to use BUT when in Rome hey?!
I picked up a few bits and pieces I’d been wanting to try including a highlighter, a few of the pro make up brushes, mini sponges and eyebrow dye because my brows are in dire need of doing! Check back in for a first impressions post in the next couple of days – of the makeup of course, not my brows.
Thanks so much to the girls at W7 and Freeport Talke for inviting us down to take a ride, kinda, on the W7 Beauty Bus. The bus will be back on the road in the next few weeks so make sure you keep an eye out on the roads new you. Let’s face it though, you can’t really miss it can you?
