The 1975 – “Chocolate”

Musically I am one of the most uncool people in all of the lands. My musical tastes bounce from One Direction to Marilyn Manson, David Bowie to Taylor Swift, Westlife to Nirvana and back up to Mariah Carey…point proven, yes?   My iTunes on shuffle is like an explosion at an HMV closing down sale.  But with that being said, I’m a creature of habit and I rarely download albums/EP’s from bands I don’t really know of.  That was until I heard the opening bars of this song and I was like “I NEED THIS ALBUM IN MY LIFE”.

Ladies & Gents, I introduce to you, “Chocolate” from The 1975. This 4 piece hail from Manchestoh Manchester and are pretty much looking to be the next big thing.  I actually discovered this band through this handsome little fellow, Craig Parkinson (who is possibly the most talented little graphic designer this side of the universe – check him out) and ever since I’ve been addicted to this song and furthermore their Music For Cars EP.

By addicted I mean “everytime I put a song on, its this song, and I play it bloody loud.”

Can somebody please become as obsessed with this song as me so we can share in our obsession and love and basically salivate over the guitars and the lead singer.  THANKS.

    Thank you so much!

I heard this song on Q radio when I was last up at my parents’ house and had to quickly leave so couldn’t SoundHound or write down the lyrics, and when I Googled petticoats later the only result was The Kooks (who I don’t really like, tbh). So thank you so much for reminding me!!!
