Styling my Boyfriend | Bad Rhino

I’m forever guilty of adding new items of clothing to my wardrobe.  In fact, I rarely make it through a week without making one (or two) clothing purchases all in the name of “blogging”.  Secretly, I have a lack of self control and I admittedly find myself comfort shopping after a stressful week and like to indulge myself in a little (retail) therapy by handing over my bank card… and doesn’t my wardrobe know about it?

As my wardrobe gets fuller, my draws no longer close easily and I find myself running out of coat hangers, Dan will happily wear the same trusty clothes that he usually does.  Other than adding in a few seasonal pieces to his wardrobe (mainly down to my influence) such as a winter coat or new trainers and of course, the obligatory pants and socks he gets come Christmas time, it’s very rare that he’ll treat himself to some new threads.  Luckily, having a girlfriend that admittedly loves to shop, if I do see something that I think he’ll love I’ll pick it up for him with the aim to slowly grow his wardrobe (that I also seem to have encroached on).  That’s pretty normal though, right?

Grandad Shirt | Quilted Jacket | Rip & Repair Jeans*

If you haven’t come across them before, Bad Rhino are the male counterpart of plus size fashion brand Yours Clothing who I’m lucky enough to work with as part of their blogger programme.   Bad Rhino is sold online and stocked in some of the larger Yours Clothing stores and evolved from the demand for Big & Tall men’s clothing.

Now Dan isn’t exactly big (DESPITE the copious amount of pizza that he eats) but he is tall and with the starting size for Bad Rhino being large and going straight through to a 7XL, it’s the ideal fit for him especially as he struggles with sleeve lengths when it comes to jackets and long sleeve tops.

I picked out a few key pieces for Dan for the start of a new season and surprisingly…. he loved the style of them, especially (and most surprisingly) the grandad collar button up green top.  Layered under this Barbour-esque quilted black jacket and worn with distressed jeans straight leg jeans, this is quite a relaxed and laid back look.  I may be a little bit biased (of course) but I also happen to think he looks pretty darn handsome.

I’ll make a male fashion blogger of him yet!
