FASHION || Give a Girl the Right Kind of Heels..

I was set a challenge by Simply Be to style a New Years outfit around a pair of heels. When I was browsing the Simply Be website in a quest to find the perfect pair of heels, I came across these studded T-Bar shoes from the designer Anna Scholz. If you don’t know who Anna Scholz is, maybe this quote from her will give you a little insight…

“A great design works with a woman’s curves, not in spite of them. Every woman deserves the choice to wear luxurious and trendy designer clothes. Self-perception and confidence are more relevant than what size you are. Having the right clothes for your shape is empowering and attractive. I want women to celebrate their curves and enjoy shopping in style. “

Anna Scholz is pretty big news in the plus size world (yes, “big” I get the pun). After teaming up with Simply Be she has given the range more oh so stylish sophistication. Comprising of fabulous bold prints, embellishments, bright colours and a collection which all round oozes glamour (you’ve got to bow down at the heels of a lady who notes her must have fashion item as a “plunge bra” – lady after my own heart).

In my kitchen I have the quote:

“Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world”

I’m a firm believer in this (judging by the amount of shoes I have, lets just say that I’m still looking for the perfect pair).

You know how as a woman we have the ability to apply a flash of red lipstick and feel instantly more confident?  I have the same feeling about heels. So what better to kick start 2014 than in a pair of gorgeous embellished T Bar platforms?  These are kind of freaking high for me (think Carrie Bradshaw in those embellished pants in the “The Real Me” episode) but surprisingly the platform element in them means they’re pretty comfortable.  I successfully danced through the night to the likes of Destinys Child (Bootylicious) and I didn’t fall over once.  And I’d had a lemonade or two.

If these aren’t 2014 conquer-able shoes then I don’t know what are.

I thought I’d give you a sneaky peak into the rest of my New Years Eve outfit (excuse the mirror picture)20140107-155345.jpg

  • arghh I love them!! I have such trouble finding heels for my chubby little feet! New years eve left me swearing I’d never wear them again after half the skin on my little toe went missing. These look so orgeous and comfortable though.
