My Favourite Winter Knit

by Charl Pearce

“Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens, Brown paper packages tied up with strings, These are a few of my favourite things.”

Sang Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music almost 50 years ago.  Sounds more like a bloggers dream what with all that copper and brown paper and those woollen mittens would look perfect in a flatlay, don’t you think?

With the brunt of the cold weather in full force those woollen mittens sound like they’d make up the perfect winter outfit.  I for one have my own favourite things when it comes to wrapping up warm and staying comfortable.

After spotting this black and yellow long line jumper in a twist knit from Yours Clothing it remind me of an oversized 90’s style boyfriend jumper, the sort that you throw on with just about anything.

Worn over a denim shirt or under a favourite coat with skinny or slouchy pair of jeans (or a cute little bobble hat), I’ve been dragging this jumper out of my wardrobe on a regular basis and have probably worn it more than is deemed acceptable.

This style is available online for £14 in a number of colours including newly introduced pastel shades but the black fleck against the yellow in this gives it quite a grungy look and always receives compliments.
