If you thought that beauty subscription boxes had died a death and become obsolete then you’d be mistaken. In fact, original beauty boxes such as Glossybox and Birchbox paved the way for not only beauty boxes to make a monthly delivery on your doorstep but stationary, dog, food and even Gilmore Girl themed boxes. After all, who doesn’t love a post box size box of goodness? I do. I really do.
With most boxes there’s usually a couple of stand out products and a few fillers for good measure and to ensure you’ve got enough bang for your buck. If you’re anything like me, you’d much rather an extra stand out product in place of a filler to ensure you actually do a) like and b) use the products you’re sent. After all, you’re paying for em!
Enter Love Me Beauty. With a £10 subscription fee plus £2.95 postage, your fee buys you Love Me Beauty credits – 60 of them! Each month LMB release an “Edit” of mini, sample or full size products with their own individual “prices” in credit form and you simply shop till you drop… or as far as 60 credits will get you. Rather than a box (which I either used as dividers for my dressing table drawer or chucked, sorry) your chosen items are delivered in a uniquely designed canvas make up bag. Much handier than a box and perfect for storing products or throwing in your handbag to avoid a pit of lipstick doom, like mine. You also receive add on credits for each friend you refer that signs up PLUS you can buy extra credits should you wish too in case there’s a specific product you just have to have but you’ve spent up your 60.
The Enchanted Edit for October featured products from the likes of Benefit, Merumaya, Nuxe and Make up Forever. I picked up the Make Up Forever Aqua Xl Matte Black Eye Liner, Forever Artist Rouge Mat lipstick and Excessive Lash Mascara plus a Nuxe Shower Oil, Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm and the newly released Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in Dark.
After the success of it’s inclusion in September’s Edit, The Nightfall Edit (available from the 1st November) see’s the return of the latest “it” brand Kat Von D. I was in London for the launch and after being faced with a queue to even gain access to buy products from the concessions stand in Debenhams Oxford Street (let alone to meet the woman herself), I was more than happy to settle for 3 fantastic products from the collection for £12.
(Top – Ink Liner / Middle – Magick / Bottom – Beloved)
I picked up the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Beloved, the Studded Kiss lipstick in Magick and the Ink Liner in Trooper.
The above are all available in November’s Nightfall Edit along with a selection of “festive” scented hand creams from Caudalie, polish from OPI, make up brushes from Eco Tools and products from Bare Minerals.
Don’t forget to use the code CHARL4943801 for £21 worth of Love Me Beauty credits in time to shop the new Nightfall Edit.
