LIFE || Hey 2013, YOU ROCKED.

2013

It’s New Years Eve and its that time of the year where you see bloggers posting up their new years resolutions, ways they want to improve themselves and their blog. I sat down to write mine, what I want to achieve in 2014 and how I’m going to do it and I thought to myself “hang about now, love, 2013 weren’t so bad now was it?”

I may not have know the regular bedroom love of a man or been inundated with £50 notes, but I figured I’m not dead, I have full use of all my limbs, I’m not living on the street and I have friends and family who love me (despite my dickishness at times).

Why is why I wanted my end of year post to reflect that. The changeover from 2012 for me was a pretty big “life shock”. After a split with my ex I moved into my own house in December 12, so 2013 was most definitely a year of “firsts” and “finding myself” as a single girl. Through this I’ve had the opportunity because of my blog and sheer bloody hard work to do things I never thought possible.   I’ve been interviewed on the radio, been social media guru to some amazing gigs where I’ve gotten to hang out with some amazing bands, I’ve been to numerous concerts: The 1975, The Big Reunion, Jay Z, Lionel Richie, JLS, learnt that the saying “its not what you know, its who you know” goes a long way, I got my adorable puppy Ted, I made some brilliant friends, laughed until I almost peed my pants (I was a second away from this), I got to witness the wedding of one of my closest friends. achieved some amazing things with my blog including smashing my targets two fold.  Why is why I’m in the position to say:

“My 2013 was AMAZING and so am I for making it happen!”

….And I hope that 2014 has more of that in store for me.

This is such a lovely post! People forget about how much they have in their life and are more concerned about materialistic things instead of good health and family! Hope you have an even better 2014! x
