I’ve always been quite an creative/crafty person. Pass me some cardboard, some prit stick, sequin, fabric and I can probably decorate the world. My own house is testament to this, theres so many bits and pieces that I’ve given the personal touch to.
If you can’t get crafty at Christmas then when can you get crafty? I used to love Christmas at primary school where you’d make Christmas cards for your parents or a calendar for the New Year. Fun, creative, personal.
Which is why when I was challenged by Ladbrokes to put my creative skills to good use by getting involved in their Deck The Halls campaign I jumped at the chance to don some ribbon, rubber stamps and sparkle. I’d actually say I was in my element.
I had the Christmas cracker (geddit?) Gemma with me over the festive period and we got to work stamping and sticking and embellishing (what would a Christmas stocking be if it didn’t have a few buttons on it?) For me, Christmas Crackers are the most important part of a Christmas dinner, without crackers or
somea mountain of sprouts a Christmas dinner is just a Sunday dinner. Rubbish jokes, a bit of trivia, a paper hat and some little toy or trinket – it’s amazing what the small things can do. I got “stag happy” with mine
Lets hope I was a good enough girl over 2013 for “Santa Baby” to fill my Christmas stocking with something nice. Diamonds? Cheques? A ring? A 54 Convertible too? (light blue)
I have my eye on a Chanel lipstick and some Tom Ford perfume.
