My previous Holy Grail cleanser was Superdrug’s Hot Cloth Cleanser which was a super thick and creamy cleanser which was came out around the same time as there was muchos buzz about Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish in the blogging world. I’ve always had serious issues with face wash because I have such sensitive and alien ginger person skin and they either a) break me out or b) dry my skin out dramatically.
I’d seen Khila over @ Miss Budget Beauty rave about the Soap and Glory ‘Peaches and Clean’ for months, she would literally be like “I haven’t been using my Peaches and Clean for a week and now my skin has gone awful.. I NEED SOME MORE” and I figured anything that had that much of a reaction was worth trying. I picked this up in my local Boots on a Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price deal (I bought 2 and gave one to my mum to trial – because I’m kind like that). This is now the 3rd bottle I’ve got through and I’m in cleanser heaven.
Our special clogged T-zone formula Includes peach extract (with skin smoothing fruit acids), quillaja bark (a gentle natural ‘soap’), jojoba oil (an emollient skin softener), Detoxyboost™ technology (to help purify and deep clean) and Poreshrink R2™ (for a clearer, fresher, brighter complexion). In our opinion it’s the best cleansing milk on the market!
How to Use
Massage a splodge of onto your cheeks in the evening (or morning, if you managed to fall asleep with your makeup on) rubbing double on any trouble spots – oily forehead, nose, chin – to maximize the purifying actives. Rinse off with water. (Repeat if you feel you need it.)
Despite the name, this doesn’t smell anything like peaches. It has quite a heavy minty/medicated scent which may be unpleasent to some people, but I like it. It says on the bottle that it “melts make up away” and I’ve found this to be not a hint of a lie. A few pumps of this washed off with a flannel and my skin is left with that tingly and clean feeling (as opposed to that tingly and allergic reaction feeling). It really does leave my skin glowing and super smooth as promised and I find that it also helps to keep my dreaded oily T-Zone at bay somewhat. Top marks.
