FASHION || Junction 16: OOTD & OOTN

So you may have seen from my Twitter feed (if you haven’t because you don’t follow me on Twitter, I suggest you hot foot it over to there right this instance) that last weekend I was involved in a “little” event in Stoke called Junction 16.  Junction 16 was the first of hopefully many musical celebrations which took place over three days.  There were 3 days of music, on the Friday there was an event headlined by classic rockers and double denim wearing dudes Status Quo, Sunday was headlined by Manchester solid crew the Happy Mondays and Saturday was “Total Access Live” in conjunction with local radio station Signal One, which featured all of todays latest chart toppers including Union J, John Newman and Lawson.

I’d bagged the gig of being in charge of social media for all three of the events, which meant that I was on hand each of the days to tweet, take photos and generally soak up the atmosphere.

Three days, one weekend, minimal sleep – it was festival like to say the least, so I thought I’d jump on the “FESTIVAL FASHION” bandwagon and show you what I wore on 2 of the days (I don’t have a proper picture of the third “outfit”).

I don’t pretend to be the most fashion forward of all the #fbloggers so you won’t be getting any “edgy outfit” pictures here.  I like to dress comfortably and I like to think I have my own style…  These aren’t posh #fbloggers posey pictures, they’re pictures I took on my phone send to my mum to say “do I look like an idiot?” (she replied – YES!)

Day 1: Status Quo – Seeing as it was a Quo gig, I had to feature some denim – I wore this tie denim shirt from Florence & Fred @ Tesco, my much loved floral Primark skirt and this rain mac that I can’t even remember where I picked it up from.  The boots were ones I bought en route to a trip to Birmingham with Terri Lowe and they are the most sturdiest, hard wearing and comfiest boots ever.

Day 2: Total Access – I figured seeing as they day was going to be “poptastic” I’d go with some neon.  This jumper was from G21 @ Asda last year (this was the first time I’d been brave enough to flash the neon).  I paired it with denim shorts (that I made out of some jeans from New Look), tights and those trusty boots again.

While I was at Total Access I also bumped into these guys……
