There are always cult products that seem to appear overnight in the beauty community, where they go from zero to hero in a matter of blog posts and before you know it everybody who’s anybody is including them in their monthly favourites. The BioDerma Micelle cleanser is one of these products. It takes alot for me to buy into the hype of a product – when everybody was out bulk buying the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I was out looking for a product at a fraction of the price which did more or less the same kind of job. Same with the Clarisonic, when everybody was splashing the cash I opted for the more purse friendly Rio Sonicleanse (there’s a theme here, no?)
The only “cult” product that I have bought into previously is the Urban Decay “Naked Palette” which I just had to have, and when I saw the Bio Derma cleanser I felt the exact same kind of WANT as I had previously with Naked.
So what do Bio Derma say about this product?
• At the cutting edge of innovation, BIODERMA has pioneered micellar solutions. Specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skins, the Sensibio H2O micelle solution gently cleanses face and eyes. It removes water-resistant make-up.
The micelles contained in its formula effectively micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining the skin’s balance (soap-free, physiological pH).
• Soothing and decongesting active ingredients prevent the feelings of irritation often caused by cleansing.
• Sensibio H2O guarantees excellent cutaneous and ocular tolerance (tested under ophthalmological supervision).
That whole blurb should basically be shortened down to… THIS PRODUCT IS FREAKING AMAZING, BUY BUY BUY. This cleansing solution is uber sensitive and soothing to skin, even my skin which breaks out when I so much as sniff another skincare item has accepted this wonder product. It removes makeup like a dream – including stubborn waterproof mascara and the blackest of black eyeliner and leaves skin feeling smooth and super clean. Basically, every single positive thing you have read about this cleanser is true. I’m on my third bottle which I buy through ebay for around £13.00 including shipping and a bottle lasts me around a month and a half… which considering I use it every single day is pretty good going.
