It’s always good to see your area being put on the map for something other than being crowned the worst place to live and Robbie Williams, and the introduction of a star studded 3 day music festival at Betley Court Farm is most definitely putting the county on the map.
Previously known as Junction 16, 2015 marks the third year of Betley Concerts, an annual mini festival from the concert big guns Cuffe and Taylor (the brains behind the likes of Blackpool Rocks and Lytham Festival) held over at the beautiful and iconic Betley Court Farm in Cheshire and featuring an array of musical talent.
Over the past three years the Friday and Sunday events have brought musical acts such as the Happy Mondays, Status Quo, Katherine Jenkins, The Overtones and ABC with Saturday’s event Total Access Live being hosted by UTV radio station, Signal One. Based on the afternoon show of the same name, Total Access Live is presented by the best loved presenters and brings the best of the charts to the Betley stage. Lawson, Union J, Jedward, Ella Eyre, Rizzle Kicks, Katie B, The Vamps, Professor Green, Ella Henderson, Foxes have all performed live on the Total Access Live stage.
Following the success of the previous years, this years festivities kick off on the 14th of August through to the 16th and promises to be bigger and better than ever! Betley Concerts has something for music fans of all ages beginning on Friday with the musical stylings of a musical legend and judge on BBC’s The Voice. Ladies favourite and owner of the most impressive chest hair Tom Jones will be taking to the stage to perform a collection of hits including What’s New Pussycat, Sex Bomb and Delilah for an audience of adoring fans.
Saturday see’s the return of Signal One’s very own Total Access Live and will bring you the very best of the latest chart hits including headline acts such as Lawson, ex Westlifer Shane Filan who is soon set to release his latest album in September, one fifth of uber girl group Girl Aloud, Sarah Harding, Mr Probz, Alesha Dixon and former N Dubz star Dappy plus many more acts.
Closing the event on the Sunday in a civilised sit down picnic by the lake will be the winners of last years Britain’s Got Talent, Collabro.
The weekend is sure to prove popular amongst music goers, so lets hope the weather holds up for the weekend and attendees don’t have to dig out their wellies and umbrellas!
Tickets are available for each day or you can purchase a weekend ticket online and tickets will be available to buy on the door (make sure you check in advance incase of a sell out!)
I have a competition over on Twitter to win a pair of VIP tickets for Total Access Live on the 15th, so if you want the chance to win make sure you head on over to find out how to enter!
