With a few events coming up in the not so distant future, I figured I should refresh my current wardrobe by making a sneaky little order from the ASOS sale.
Nothing screams “VERSATILITY BABY” to me like a pair of denim shorts. Dressed up with heels or down with some Converse, mine are usually teamed with some black tights (cos ain’t nobody wanna see those jiggly and pasty things strutting down the street – yes yes, I STRUT) and my trusty biker jacket. I picked up these two pairs of shorts with a bit of a twist to them. I love the pretty star details on the one pair and the two tone effect of the other gives them a really funky edge (and some rips to add a bit of a LOOK WHATS HIDING UNDER HERE flash). I also picked up these tailored geometric print city shorts, perfect for work and days when I want to cover up the Beyonce thighs a little more.
This bodycon dress from New Look’s Inspire range was inspired by the bee-you-tiful Callie Thorpe – I love that this has the 3/4 sleeves so I don’t have to worry about pairing it with a cardigan or jacket (bingo wing camoflauge) and the length of it means I could probably get away with it at work – the tribal print on it always calls my name. And this skirt. OH THIS SKIRT. This isn’t me, at all. Look through my wardrobe and I’m all about prints, colours and patterns but this comic book print WHAM BAM POW skater skirt from River Island is a little… “out there” for me, but I couldn’t not have it.
Now its time to eagerly await the postmans delivery so I can perform a mini fashion show infront of the mirror (and with Ted – my puppy – looking on bemused)
