Superdrug Oil Balancing Range

After Tesco decided to stop selling my new favourite mattifying moisturiser (and big fat whopping bargain – £1!) at my local Tesco, I’ve been trying out a few face creams that I’ve bought previously and dumped in the “meh” pile of life. With none of these doing anything to rock my world, I decided to take the plunge and look for another mattifying moisturiser that I could possibly love as much as the My Skin one.

….and I think I may have found one.

(Before any “I AM MRS SKINCARE” starts wading in and tsking me for not spending crazy dollar on my skincare, let me say – after spending £10-£20 on “wonder product” skincare I’ve seen on blogs and YT videos and thought “I NEED THIS”, only for it to hate me, break me out and leaving me nursing my skin back to health for a couple of weeks – I’m really okay being a cheapo and testing out more affordable lines that won’t break my already sighing piggy bank.)

I picked up the Superdrug Oil Balancing range because a) they were on offer (love me a bargain) and because b) my sebaceous glands actually recoiled when I clocked the range sitting there on the shelf in all its “OIL BALANCING” glory. I think there are a couple of other products in the range but for now I decided to try the moisturiser and the serum.

I was always under the impression that that using a serum and then a moisturiser in combination with my already oily/combination skin would be a no go area, but these two together are like a dream team. They leave my skin hydrated and soft as a babys bum and provide the perfect base for make up application, while keeping shine at bay throughout the day (I’m sorry, I didn’t mean for that to rhyme)

  • This sound great. I don’t think you always need to spend loads of money on skincare, though I usually do because of the hype. I’ll bare this one in mind next time I need a moisturiser. x
